Created by Issa Rae and Larry Wilmore and adapted from Rae's "Awkward Black Girl" Web series, "Insecure" explores the lives of Issa (Rae) and Molly (Yvonne Orji), two young women living in Los Angeles. As the two best friends navigate their personal and professional lives, the series examines how their experiences and identities are shaped by race, gender, and cultural expectations. The second season finds Issa struggling to cope with a painful breakup, while she and Molly both face difficulties at work.
